Bookstagram made me do it. I picked up a RomCom. Why not? It’s summer (or at least it feels like it in Louisiana), and it’s time for lighter clothes and lighter reading.
BOOK LOVERS met my expectations perfectly. Witty banter between charming, moderately developed characters within a predictable, stress-free plot? Sign me up.
Thanks to a fellow reviewer, I knew to read this as an audiobook. Audiophiles know Julia Whelan is the PREMIER narrator (and in August, a published author). In BOOK LOVERS, she is also funny. Her impeccable comedic timing delivered more laughs than an eye-read.
I listened to the audiobook purchased from Libro.FM, with proceeds going to Blue Cypress Books, an independent bookstore in New Orleans, LA.
